Honorable mention: Would never have played Pursuit Force were it not for the free games given out after PlayStation Network was shutdown temporarily, and am really glad I picked it. All around really nice product, and super underrated entry that relatively few Soul Calibur fans have gotten to experience. As much as I'm sick and tired of seeing Kratos as a guest character in everything, he made way more sense than the Star Wars characters in the console companion. I think they picked the right features to hang onto when they scaled the game down to the PSP's hardware, although a proper arcade mode would have been really nice and probably would not have taken a whole lot more.

My equivalent was Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny, that game was insanely good, and even though it wasn't an exact port of Soul Calibur IV the way that Tekken 6 was a direct port of the console title of the same name, had a lot of really awesome qualities. Tekken and Tekken 2 emulation were alright (but counting all of the PSOne Classics would be unfair). So spot #4 has to go to Star Wars Battlefront Renegade Squadron for completely different reasons (played them both about the same amount, is why I pair them) - maps were stellar, music was nostalgic for people who had played the original two installments, the custom cosmetics were an awesome and simple touch that made the multiplayer really fun and interesting, and even though it had (arguably) less content than its successor, Elite Squadron, it had better graphics and a single-player campaign that was believable and fun.Ī lot of people really love the port of Tekken 6, and I don't blame them.

Dissidia and Dissidia 012 were both really good, had a lot of replayabilityīirth By Sleep is the best installment imo, and even though the International release had less content than the Japanese Final Mix or the version that appears in all of the re-releases, the removal of the multiplayer in the Mirage Arena in those other versions makes the PSP version the best even though there are fewer bosses, weapons and worldsĪs much as I love the LittleBigPlanet franchise, I had issues with the Create Mode crashing and losing about an hour of work several times I don't think the hardware could handle things after a certain, very modest complexity.
